A deep-dive into the lesbian erotica

This series of works of lesbian erotica came out of the desire to make up for the lack of authentic lesbian erotica through out different periods, to fill gaps in history where erotic images of lesbian sexuality were produced mostly by male artists. In this series I wanted to move away from the heteronormative view. I wanted to present the world that I know, and live.

That world is made of queer bodies, gender fluid identities, butch and femme women, which is completely different from stylized images of feminine lesbians. Protagonists of my drawings and watercolors are persons we can all identify with: who are wearing socks, sport bras, laying on the couch and making out, who have short hair, long hair, who are different skin color.
I present you the erotica from a personal point of view, made by a lesbian for lesbians.
The drawings for the most part resemble the characteristics of printmaking; the style evokes the black and white comics I read as a kid. So I would say that there is something in the manuscript that I could call old school. On the other hand, the works are genuinely contemporary, in content, handling of stereotypes, etc. They combine the softness and warmth of the "old-fashioned" in a modern reinterpretation.
